Directed by Sudhir Mishra and E Niwas, Tanaav Season 2 Volume 2 continues to impress with its thriller cast and gripping storyline. The socio-political drama revolves around the tensions between the state-run Special Task Group (STG) led by Kabir Farooqui and Pakistan-based terrorists in Kashmir valley. Tanaav Season 2 shows an everyday side of conflicts, innocents dying and officials continuing to protect the civilians. The story continues with Kabir Farooqui (Manav Vij) leading the Special Task Group in Kashmir with his team including Udar Parimoo (Satyadeep Misra), Toshi Kaul (Sahiba Bali), and others.

The 6-episode-long introduces us to Fareed Mir (Al-Daminishq), who is identified as the son of Meer Saab. He calls himself the Awaaz of Kashmir. He has just returned from Syria and has been militarily trained under ISIS. Fareed can do anything to go against Harqat. Kabir has to find a way to stop Al-Damnishq before the Peace Conference. Will Kabir and his team be able to stop him? What new challenges does the Special Task Force have to encounter? What Works

The story continues to hold a thrilling plot alongside the ensemble cast and intense action. Tanaav 2 intensifies its gripping narrative of bravery, deception, greed, love, and revenge. The web series is an intriguing one that remains powerful and engaging, its cinematography, haunting background compositions, and authentic Kashmiri dialogues steal the show.

What Doesn’t Work

Certain scenes in the series were fast-paced, and it was difficult to keep up. Compared to the earlier season, the action was light, it included more diplomatic moves and politics.

Written by Ishan Trivedi, Tanaav Season 2 Volume 2 continues its strong narrative. The second season of the socio-political crime drama thriller is streaming on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium). In the second season vol. 2, Gaurav Arora’s Fareed Mir will be seen taking a challenge with with Manav Vij’s Kabir Farooqui. He introduces himself as Mir’s son and Kashmir’s voice. Meanwhile, Mir’s wife and daughter have been warned about the presence of militants in their home and it was said in Vol. 1 too. While Shashank Arora’s Junaid was still in jail, he formed a new organization, Al Damishq, and their first attack was a major bomb blast in Kashmir.

Direction

Sudhir Mishra and E Niwas enthral the audience with the storyline and intense action sequence. The story highlights intense action and drama. The series has embraced the challenge of exceeding the high expectations set by the first part. The team has crafted a narrative that is even more thought-provoking. The season continues its focus on the theme of the nation coming first, exploring the complexities of the human condition, the blurred lines between good and evil, and the resilience of the human spirit. As promised the series has delivered an action-packed narrative.

Tanaav Season 2 Volume 2 Star Cast

Manav Vij lives up to his character as Kabir Farooqui, he serves justice to an undercover official be it via his expressions, body language or speech. Satyadeep Misra as Udar Parimoo remains quite a stellar member of the team leading his way till the end. Ekta Kaul and Sahiba Bali impress with their roles as Dr Farah and Toshi, respectively. Rajat Kapoor as Jagjit Mallik who serves as a bureaucrat does justice to his character.

Kabir Bedi, Ekta Kaul, Soni Razdan and Shashank Arora do justice to their characters and live up to the narrative. The remaining supporting cast also helps in making the show watch-worthy.

Conclusion

Sudhir Mishra and E Niwas’ Tanaav Season 2 Volume 2 is a socio-political drama that narrates the nation’s security hanging by a thread. The second season is shorter than the first season but promises and delivers an action-packed narrative. The script remains to be crisp and captures the audience.
